Summerlin® and Bridgeland® Rank Among Nation’s Top 10 Best-Selling Master Planned Communities in RCLCO Mid-Year Report

Howard Hughes Communities once again earns two Top 10 national rankings, reflecting decades of disciplined planning and long-term investment

THE WOODLANDS, TX (July 31, 2026) – Howard Hughes Communities, the nationally recognized developer of some of America’s premier master planned communities, once again placed two communities among the nation’s Top 10 best-selling master planned communities, according to RCLCO’s 2026 Mid-Year Report. Summerlin, in Las Vegas, ranked No. 8 with 547 home sales, while Bridgeland, in the Greater Houston area, ranked No. 9 with 500 home sales.

The rankings reinforce the enduring strength of Howard Hughes Communities’ long-term approach to placemaking, with Summerlin and Bridgeland consistently earning national recognition while continuing to attract residents, businesses, and investment across two of the country’s fastest-growing regions.

Few developers have multiple communities ranked among the nation’s top-selling master planned communities year after year. Howard Hughes Communities has consistently achieved that distinction through a long-term development strategy focused on creating enduring places rather than simply selling homes.

“Communities like Summerlin and Bridgeland don’t become top-selling overnight,” said David R. O’Reilly, Chief Executive Officer of Howard Hughes. “They are the result of decades of disciplined planning, patient investment, and an unwavering commitment to creating places where people genuinely want to live. Their continued recognition reflects not only strong demand for high-quality communities today, but the enduring value created through thoughtful placemaking. As markets evolve, communities built with a long-term vision continue to stand apart.”

SUMMERLIN
For more than three decades, Summerlin has set the standard for master planned community development in Southern Nevada. Today, the 22,500-acre community offers more than 125 home floorplans across 22 actively selling neighborhoods, providing exceptional choice for buyers ranging from first-time homeowners to luxury purchasers seeking resort-style living.

Complementing its diverse housing offerings is an unmatched collection of parks, trails, schools, retail, dining, recreation, healthcare, and employment opportunities that continue to make Summerlin one of the region’s premier places to live.

“Since the beginning, our vision has been to continually elevate the experience of living in Summerlin by bringing together exceptional homes with the right mix of amenities, services, and destinations,” said Jose Bustamante, President of the Nevada Region for Howard Hughes Communities. “Every investment we make is intended to strengthen the community, enrich everyday life for our residents, and create lasting value for generations to come.”

Continued investment in Downtown Summerlin® further reinforces that vision. New retail, dining, wellness, and entertainment destinations continue to expand the community’s live-work-play environment while enhancing the experience for both residents and the thousands of employees who work there every day.

BRIDGELAND
Bridgeland continued its exceptional momentum during the first half of 2026, ranking among the nation’s best-selling communities while expanding its position as one of Greater Houston’s most desirable places to live. The community continues to broaden its housing opportunities with new offerings for first-time buyers, move-up families, and active adults, including the recent addition of Del Webb Bridgeland, the community’s first active adult neighborhood for residents ages 55 and older. Today, approximately 30,000 residents call Bridgeland home, with the community projected to grow to approximately 70,000 residents at full buildout.

The community is also evolving into one of Northwest Houston’s leading employment and entertainment destinations. Earlier this year, Howard Hughes Communities, in partnership with the Houston Texans and Harris County, announced Toro District™, an 83-acre mixed-use sports and entertainment district anchored by the Texans’ future global headquarters and training facility. The development is expected to generate approximately $34 billion in long-term economic impact and create more than 17,000 jobs across the region.

“Bridgeland’s continued success reflects our long-term commitment to creating a community that offers exceptional choices in how people live, work, and connect,” said Jim Carman, President of the Texas Region for Howard Hughes Communities. “From award-winning neighborhoods and amenities to transformative investments like Toro District, we are creating a destination that continues to attract residents, businesses, and opportunity to Northwest Houston.”
